Ogie Diaz reacted to the recent viral video of Albie Casiño
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz defended actor Albie Casiño who was accused of being drunk during a pageant’s coronation night.
Albie’s video during the coronation night of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023 went viral. He was the one who serenaded the candidates of the said local beauty pageant. It has been common among male celebrities to appear in this kind of local event.
However, this stint brought controversy against Albie. He sang Parokya ni Edgar’s Pangarap Lang Kita and the song Habang Buhay which was popularized by Zack Tabudlo.
Based on comments on Albie Casiño’s performance, there were those who said that he appeared to be drunk because of the way he sang the songs.
In a recent episode of Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update, based on the article in Bandera, he talked about the recent issue with the actor. The talent manager-vlogger shared that he talked Albie’s manager regarding this matter.
“Sabi ng manager na si Leo Dominguez, hindi naman daw lasing. Siyempre kung hindi naman daw lasing, bakit naman ganun ka-hyper? Ayan din ‘yung tanong ng iba,” Ogie shared.
The talent manager also reminded the public about the condition of the actor. Back in 2021, Albie admitted inside the Pinoy Big Brother house “Meron po kasi akong ADHD…” After this, Ogie made a comment on his show. The talent manager-vlogger shared that Albie’s mother shared the story about his condition.
“Sa kabatiran ng iba na hindi kilala si Albie, si Albie po ay aminado naman na meron siyang kondisyon na talagang hindi siya mapirmi o hindi siya mapakali habang nasa stage, kailangang iba-iba ang area ng pinapuntahan,” Ogie said.
On the other hand, the talent manager-vlogger reminded celebrities doing a stint like this to be prepared after this is a paid appearance.
