What is the Annual Registration Fee?

The Annual Registration Fee is a mandatory payment that self-employed taxpayers and entrepreneurs are obligated to submit and pay annually to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in the Philippines.

What is BIR Form 0605?

Referred to as the Payment Form, BIR Form 0605 is the document that taxpayers complete and file whenever they are required to make payments for registration fees, renewal charges, and even tax penalties.

How to Make BIR Payments via GCash

After you have successfully filled out and submitted your BIR Form 0605 online using the eBIRForms platform, the final step is to pay your annual registration fee using GCash.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to pay your BIR fee through GCash:

1.Log into your GCash account

Ensure that your GCash account has sufficient balance. To give you an idea, the annual registration fee amounts to ₱500, so you need to have at least this amount in your account. If necessary, you can add funds to your GCash account from your digital bank.

To begin, navigate to “Bills” and then select “Government,” as shown below:

2. Choose BIR as biller and fill out your tax details

To make payment for your annual registration fee using GCash, we advise initiating the transaction at least one week before January 31. This is because the processing period spans up to 3 days, unlike real-time payments like those for EasyTrip via GCash.

Next, ensure that you select BIR as the merchant to which your payment is intended.

Enter the amount of 500, as the annual registration fee is priced at ₱500.

In the field denoting the form series, opt for 0600 (payment form) and proceed to choose form number 0605.

The tax classification is identified as RF, representing the Registration Fee.

For the period of return pertaining to GCash BIR payment, enter 123123 to signify December 31, 2023. Naturally, you’ll need to modify the year according to the submission date of your annual registration form.

In case you’re unsure about the Branch Code for GCash BIR payment, simply input 00000 as the Tax Payer’s Branch Code.

Don’t forget to input your email address to ensure receipt of payment confirmation from GCash. Then, proceed by selecting the “Next” option.

3. Confirm and pay your BIR form 0605 online

Lastly, click “Confirm” to conclude the process of remitting your annual registration fee to the BIR.

Upon successful completion, GCash will present a “payment received” page. It is recommended to capture a screenshot of this page and retain it as evidence of payment for future reference.
