Following the loss to Angola, many Filipinos shared their sentiments regarding the outcomes of the games. And they attributed the loss to the Gilas Pilipinas head coach. Some netizens demanded the resignation of Reyes as head coach and among people echoing this is social media personality Rendon Labador.

In a new video, he claimed to be the voice of the Filipino and as the “boses ng mga Pilipino”, he tells “Choke Reyes” to step down. He believes that politics has ruined the supposed to be a good game for the talented Filipino players.

He is pleading him to step down expressing, “Sobrang kapal na ng pagmumukha natin. Mag-resign na po tayo. Sinasayang mo ang talento ng mga players mo. Hindi ka marunong gumawa ng mga play!”

Labador even furthered adding that he doesn’t know how to coach and that he should coach volleyball instead. He believes that he can still be a part of Gilas just as long as not the head coach because someone is more able to make great plays than him.

According to him, the current coach is just wasting the talent of the players, the support of the people, and the opportunity.
