Lovi Poe Marries Longtime British Boyfriend Monty Blencowe
LOVI POE – Kapamilya star Lovi Poe and her fiancé Monty Blencowe have exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony held in the United Kingdom.
Last August 8, Lovi Poe and Montgomery “Monty” Blencowe made their engagement public on social media. Lovi shared a video on Instagram where she was seen wearing a ring near a beach. “A couple of years ago, there were two coffees, one sunrise, and a ring.”
“We’ve shared and celebrated this moment quietly with our family and closest friends, so we’re now more than happy to share this sweet #lifeupdate with you,” Lovi added in an Instagram post.
Despite being in a long-distance relationship with Lovi Poe residing in Manila and Monty in Los Angeles, the couple expressed their happiness. Lovi currently plays the role of Mokang, the love interest of Coco Martin’s character Tanggol, in the popular Kapamilya primetime series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
Lovi and Monty are now married. They tied the knot in a ceremony held at England’s historic Cliveden House, constructed in 1666 by the second Duke of Buckingham. This joyful event took place on the afternoon of August 26, 2023 (UK time).
Radiantly dressed in an ivory wedding gown, the 34-year-old Kapamilya actress elegantly walked down the aisle accompanied by an instrumental rendition of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka.”
Prominent attendees at the wedding included Senator Grace Poe, Brian Poe Llamanzares, the celebrity couple Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho, actresses Bela Padilla and Rhian Ramos, as well as eventologist Tim Yap.
Previously, in the digital edition of Metro magazine, Lovi Poe shared the story of how she and her fiancé first met in Hollywood. She also discussed the proposal, including both the initial attempt and the successful one, along with their ongoing preparations for their upcoming wedding.
The Metro cover shoot had been kept a secret for several months, and even on the day of the shoot, everything felt incredibly surreal for everyone involved, including Lovi.
“It feels weird because I’m used to doing shoots, but this one’s different. I was nervous. Now it’s reminding me that it’s really happening this time,” the actress said.
