Heaven Peralejo Best Actress At 39th Luna Awards

The winner at the 39th Luna Awards is Heaven Peralejo in the Best Actress category.

HEAVEN PERALEJO – After a two-year lull, the Luna Awards resurrected, and winning the Best Actress award is the “Rain In Espana” actress.

The Luna Awards of the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) make a major comeback this year. It went on hiatus for two years and in its resurrection, FAP’s Officer-in-Charge Manny More expressed, “This year, the Luna Awards will underscore the resurrection of our film industry as it learns from the lessons of the past and prepares for the challenges of tomorrow.”

The awarding has happened and the winner of the Best Actress award is Kapamilya actress Heaven Peralejo.

Along with her winning the top-acting award, the Best Actor award is Noel Trinidad. The event was held at the Rizal Ballroom ng Quezon City Sports Club.

Heaven won the Best Actress award for her performance in Nanahimik ang Gabi. She is Ian Veneracion’s mistress in the film. This film is also among the official entries of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022.

He is dedicating her award to her mother who is also her manager.

The Best Actor is Noel for his portrayal in Family Matters. In his acceptance speech, he expressed that he is dedicating the award to his wife.

Best Supporting Actor is John Arcilla for Reroute and Best Supporting Actress is Mylene Dizon for her role in the film Family Matters. Mikhail Red is the Best Director while Family Matter is declared as the best film.

The special awardees are:

  • Leo Martinez (Fernando Poe Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award)
  • Senator Imee Marcos (8th Golden Reel Awardee)
  • multi-awarded cinematographer Conrado Baltazar (posthumous awardee ng Lamberto Avellana Memorial Award)
  • National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee (Manuel de Leon Achievement Award)

During the In Memoriam segment, personalities such as Robert Arevalo, Angie Ferro, Patrick Guzman, Angela Perez, Romano Vasquez, Caloy Alde, Jovit Baldivino, Danny Javier, Lourdes Medel, Toto Natividad, and Naty Santiago were recognized and remembered.
