The internet personality Rendon Labador expressed his reaction to the rising cost of rice “Sabay sabay tayong mag da-diet”

A few months ago, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fulfill a campaign promise of reducing rice prices to P20 per kilogram. He emphasized that the Kadiwa program is a significant initiative aimed at fostering a direct connection between farmers and consumers.

While the focus of the Kadiwa program is on offering consumers goods at reasonable rates, President Marcos points out that his real goal is to boost the agriculture sector’s productivity. The nation’s leader emphasized the need to not only meet domestic demands but also to work towards achieving surplus production that can be exported to other countries.

Unfortunately, many Filipino people is currently suffering from the increasing prices of basic commodities including rice.

Recently, the so-called motivation speaker breaks his silence and released a statement addressing the surging prices of rice. Initially, the Rendon hesitated to offer an opinion on the issue. However, given the mounting complaints about rice prices, he opted to share his thoughts.

Labador advised the public to diet and boycott rice until its price drops. He believes this could be a modern solution to address the increasing costs of basic commodities including rice.

The celebrity claimed that he does not want to see starving Filipino people and he wanted the citizens to unite for the same purpose.

“Kapag sabay sabay tayong mag da-diet at walang bibili ng bigas ibaba din nila yan,” Labador said.
