Carla Abellana is allegedly planning to switch networks
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is rumored to have plans to transfer to ABS-CBN and her new manager spoke about this.
Carla is one of the homegrown talents of GMA. Over the years, she did many TV shows on her home network. The recent project she did was Voltes V Legacy which she said, “ibang level”. However, just recently, rumors surfaced that she will no longer be a Kapuso.
Writeups circulated that Carla ended her contract with her former manager Popoy Caritativo who also handles the career of her ex-husband Tom Rodriguez.
Based on the article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, Carla Abellana is now being handled by the talent management company Triple A. Along with this, it is rumored that she will transfer to ABS-CBN, just like former Kapuso actresses Lovi Poe and Janine Gutierrez did.
In line with this issue, Triple A Executive Ms. Jacqui Cara made a statement. “All Access to Artists and Carla Abellana po will make a statement on this matter very soon,” she said.
Triple A is also handling the careers of Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera and Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza.
Asis also mentioned in her article the fact that Carla did not attend the GMA Gala 2023. The said annual event gathers the brightest stars of the Kapuso network. Even Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, and Anne Curtis attended the event because their It’s Showtime show is now aired on GTV.
The entertainment writer shared that she asked a Kapuso executive regarding Carla Abellana’s absence and the reason behind it. “Hindi raw nila alam at ‘di nila napansin na wala pala ito sa GMA Gala,” Asis shared.
