Empoy Marquez will not focus yet on his love life
Comedian Empoy Marquez admitted that he is afraid to fall in love again and this is the reason behind this.
Empoy is tagged “the new gwapo.” It might be unexpected that he will be a leading man but he already has several movies that he was paired with different leading ladies. Among his popular team-up is with Alessandra de Rossi and this started in the movie Kita Kita.
His most recent film project is with Cristine Reyes, another beautiful leading lady. Their movie Kidnap for Romance recently had a media conference. During the said event, the comedian shared the current status of his love life, based on the article in Bandera.
Empoy Marquez said that he is very much single right now. He also admitted that this is a choice because he is afraid to love again after the trauma he had from a previous relationship.
“As of now, wala po akong lovelife pero may ‘kalaro’ po ako lagi. Tulad nga ng sabi ni AA (Cristine’s nickname), ‘Private life is the better life with the time,’” he said. From the time he got hurt because of a previous failed relationship, Empoy said that he is not open yet to falling in love again.
“Mula po kasi noong medyo nasaktan ako before, ngayon may asawa na iyon, natakot akong sumubok uli. Pero I think darating naman yung bigay ni God sa atin,” the comedian shared.In a previous interview, Empoy said that he still hopes that he will find his “forever.”
Meanwhile, both Empoy Marquez and Cristine Reyes did not imagine that the time will come when they will be paired in a movie. The actress said that she is very excited about this project as she knows the comedian is fun to work with. They had the chance in the past to work together in the series Kahit Isang Saglit.
