The mother of Rob Gomez reacts to the accusation from Shaila Rebortera
Actor Rob Gomez was defended by his mom former actress Kate Gomez against the issue raised by Miss Multinational 2021 Shaila Rebortera.
The online community was shocked by the photos that Shaila shared showing her apparent legs and arms with bruises and this was tagged to Rob’s social media page. With this, the actor was accused of abusing Shaila physically.
This post that Shaila shared came two days after she posted a photo of her with Rob and with their daughter. This surprised netizens who had no idea that the actor is in a relationship with the beauty queen and that they have a child already.
Rob Gomez received bashing after the revelation that Shaila Rebortera had. Amid the issue, based on the article in PEP, Kate Gomez defended her son.
It was said that Shaila’s revelation was triggered by the statement that the actor had during his interview on Fast Talk. Rob said that he is single but he said that he is happy now. “Masaya po tayo ngayon. Masaya po tayo, I’m very happy with how everything is going, with my life outside of work,” he said.
Kate said that their family is at a loss because of what happened. She shared that she has been wanting to post photos of her granddaughter because she envies her friends who enjoy being grandparents. “Kaya lang, sinasabi sa akin, huwag muna,” she said.
The mother of Rob also stressed that there is no truth in Shaila’s accusation that the actor denied having a partner and a child. Kate stressed that her son is just not flaunting the family that he has now.
“Pero sa ospital, sa mga check-up sa doktor, sa bakasyon, magkasama sila. Hindi siya itinatago,” Kate shared. She also shared that her son proposed to Shaila when the latter got pregnant and that was in 2022 and they already scheduled the wedding.
However, Kate’s father-in-law died and the family of her husband is pure Chinese. “Sa tradisyon ng mga Chinese, kapag may namatay, two years na hindi puwedeng magpakasal, mag-celebrate ng birthdays, at bawal magsuot ng pula,” she said. With this, Kate asked Shaila to postpone the wedding.
