Police Authorities Arrest 3 Alleged Members of Akyat-Bahay Gang in Quezon City
The police authorities arrested three alleged members of Akyat-Bahay gang, one suspect relative of the victim.
Two men and one woman have been apprehended after reportedly breaking into a house in Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City. According to the victim, the CCTV footage revealed that one of the suspects is their cousin, along with the cousin’s spouse and another man acting as a lookout.
According to the initial investigation of P/Lt. Col. May Genio of Culiat PNP, the suspects knew that the victim would be away on vacation in Abra and Quirino for two weeks.
When the victim returned, they discovered that some of their gadgets and power tools, worth over P40,000, were missing.
The police authorities immediately launched a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the three individuals. The cops recovered stolen tablet and cellphone from the suspects but the victim’s power tools could not be retrieved.
According to the police, the suspects are part of a group that specializes in burglary.
“Mga akyat bahay na sila at may mga kaso sila sa barangay yun nga lang natatakot mag complaint yung mga naging biktima nila,” Genio said.
However, the suspects denied the allegations but will still face robbery charges. Authorities advised the public to be more vigilant to avoid falling victim to burglaries.

“Wala po akong ninakaw ano, ako wala akong kaalam-alam. Wala silang nakitang dala ko or ano, Ilock nila mabuti yung bahay nila, itago yung mga importanteng kagamitan . Higit sa lahat huwag magpost sa social media,” he added.
