Joey de Leon has this post about the noontime show ratings
Henyo Master Joey de Leon shared this fiery statement after their TV5 noontime show EAT leads the noontime show ratings once again.
Joey, along with his fellow veteran hosts Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto, has been hosting the noontime show for more than four decades already. It was the Henyo Master who created the title of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
However, when the iconic trio transferred to TV5 after leaving TAPE Inc, they weren’t able to bring the title. Previously, it was reported that TVJ is still working on legal issues surrounding the Eat Bulaga title.
TVJ’s pilot episode got the highest rating and the following days. However, on July 19, Eat Bulaga on GMA took the top spot when it comes to ratings. That triumph of the Kapuso noontime show only lasted for a day as the next day, EAT claimed the top spot again.
In a recent Instagram post that Joey de Leon shared, based on the article in Inquirer, he had a “patutsada” about the rating competition.
The Henyo Master shared a photo card in which the ratings of the three noontime shows were shown. EAT got 4.94 percent while Eat Bulaga only had 3.24 percent. Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime got a combined 3.55 percent.
In the caption of his post, Joey has this fiery statement, “Gumawa hindi gumaya! Lumikha hindi kamukha!”
Joey has been very vocal about the situation of noontime shows in the Philippines, especially their battle against their former producer. His funny and fiery statements whether on TV or in his posts, garnered different reactions from famous personalities.
Talent manager Ogie Diaz said that there is nothing wrong with what Joey is doing as long as his attacks are not personal. Veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin also shared her opinion. For her, It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda will not answer the Henyo Master’s statements.
However, for social media personality Rendon Labador, Joey de Leon should have shut his mouth already.
