Andrea Brillantes Admits Crying About Her Congenital Anosmia
Kapamilya young actress Andrea Brillantes admitted crying about her congenital anosmia because it has allegedly no cure.
They tackled the “Never Have I Ever challenge” with a twist in her latest vlog with Vice Ganda. The Unkabogable comedian asked Andrea what it was like to not have a sense of smell.
Andrea claims she used to cry over having congenital anosmia because there was no cure for it. According to her, her life experience appears to be incomplete due to her condition.
“Iniyak ko na ‘yun dati eh. Kasi sabi daw, wala ‘tong cure. Siyempre malungkot parang hindi complete ‘yung life experience ko. Hindi ko maamoy ‘yung mga nakita kong artista,” she said in the vlog.
According to the National Organization for Rare Disorders, congenital anosmia is a syndrome in which people are born with a lifelong inability to smell. Andrea recently exposed Ricci Rivero’s “baho” in which she stated that he had not done laundry in a year.
Andrea’s previous statement that she can’t smell became a topic of conversation on social media. Andrea reveals in Vice’s vlog that she doesn’t smell anything, which netizens speculate explains why she can tolerate Ricci’s odor.
