Cop Shoots Himself after Shooting Fellow Cop Inside a Police Station in Ilocos Sur
A cop was found lifeless after allegedly his fellow cop shoots him to death inside the police station in Ilocos Sur.
Two police officers were killed in a shooting inside the Narvacan Municipal Police Station in the province of Ilocos Sur. According to a report by state-owned Radyo Pilipinas, the deceased were PCpl Jeric Ace Abaoag Garcillan and Patrolman Joe Mendoza.
Officers on duty at the station during the event reported hearing three consecutive gunshots from the building’s third story. They instantly responded to where the gunfire originated from after hearing them.
According to the investigation, the authorities only recently caught the two police officers who were bloodied and lifeless on the ground. Based on the report, the stressed cop shoots a colleague before shooting himself.
Authorities revealed that a 9mm gun used in the shooting incident was discovered at the crime scene. The motivation for the shooting is yet unknown.
In the meantime, the Narvacan Municipal Police Station has yet to issue an official comment about the incident. The investigation into the shooting incident is still ongoing in order to determine the suspect’s motive.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested a man who was wearing a uniform of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and pretending to be a police in Mandaue City. The 33-year-old guy was apprehended after he was discovered wearing a police outfit and posing as a cop.
