Janno Gibbs Shows Support to Lea Salonga Following Controversial Encounter with Fans

Actor-singer Janno Gibbs defended singer Lea Salonga following the controversial encounter with her fans in the dressing room.

Janno Gibbs commented on Lea Salonga’s viral video in which she kicks admirers out of her dressing area. According to Christopher Carpila, the person who posted the viral video, they were like trash that Lea threw away while claiming to only want to take a picture.

Janno believes Lea is correct because not being on the guest list is not permitted in the dressing rooms or backstage. He hopes, though, that the Broadway star said it correctly so as not to disgrace the fans.

“Nasa tama naman si Ms. Lea. Bawal talaga sa dressing room/backstage ang wala sa listahan. Sana lang nasabi niya ng mas maayos. Yung hindi mapapahiya yung fans. Sa akin lang naman,” Janno said in an Instagram Story.

According to the previous article, the incident occurred during her performance at the Broadway Theater in New York with her role in ‘Here Lies Love,’ a musical based on the life of former first lady Imelda Marcos. The incident was videotaped and instantly went viral.

In the said video, Lea told the fans: “Who are you? I’m sorry, I don’t know who you are. If you’re not on the guest list, we cannot have you back here. So, you’ll have to get to the door because if I allow this now then other people are gonna take advantage.”

Lea later explained that the fans had invaded her dressing room without her consent, invading her personal space and boundaries. She was perplexed as to how she was meant to react in such a situation.
