Rowena Guanzon shared her thoughts on the issue between Claudine Barretto and Sabrina M
P3PWD Party-List Representative Atty. Rowena Guanzon has this reaction to the possible legal battle between Optimum Star Claudine Barretto and former sultry actress Sabrina M.
Claudine’s camp gave an ultimatum to Sabrina urging her to apologize for what she said about the late actor Rico Yan. However, the former sultry actress stressed that no public apology will happen.
Sabrina claimed that she and Rico had a relationship after the late actor’s relationship with Claudine. The former sultry actress even said that the Optimum Star knew about this.
Amid this issue, netizens expressed that Claudine Barretto and Sabrina M should stop this and let Rico Yan rest in peace. Atty. Guanzon also shared her thoughts on this, based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal.
“Paano magkaso si client ni Topacio kay Sabrina M, wala naman siyang standing? Asawa ba siya? Ina? OA naman,” the lawmaker said referring to Claudine’s lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.
Atty. Guanzon added, “Tending to blacken the memory of one who is dead with intent to provoke the living. Ang tanong naman diyan, sino naman ang may karapatan mag-file ng libel? Asawa ba siya? Kapatid, anak o ina ba siya o hindi?”
If Atty. Topacio has no relation to the deceased, then, he has no right to file the case. Atty Guanzon stressed that Claudine’s lawyer has “no standing.”
“Wala kang karapatan. Sa true lang. Mahirap na yung maniwala tayo sa mga paastig-astig lang na mga abogado,” she said. Atty. Guanzon shared hwer reaction on Twitter.
Based on the report, Guanzon and Topacio had past issues. It is known to many that they would clash on social media due to their different political views.
