3 Fake Gov’t Employees Intercepted on Their Flight to South Korea at NAIA
Police authorities arrested three (3) fake gov’t employees after being intercepted on their flight to South Korea at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Three ladies who appeared to be government officials were denied boarding their trip to South Korea at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI). This comes after they submitted forged documents.
According to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, the three displayed travel authorities stating that they work for the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Travel authorities are documents that grant authority for government employees to travel for official or personal purposes.
The BI front liners, on the other hand, are skeptical due to the discrepancy of their assertion, giving them a reason to investigate their document. They then revealed that the documents were obtained from a dealer in Quiapo, Manila.
“During the interview, they admitted that they paid P150,000 to a contact they met through Facebook to process their documents,” Tansingco said in a statement.
According to the investigation, the three could be victims of human trafficking or illegal recruitment. Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking has been tasked with conducting a thorough inquiry into their case.
