Pokwang Admits She Still Love Her Ex-husband Lee O’Brian Despite Her Criticisms
Comedian and TV host Pokwang admitted she still love her ex-husband foreign national Lee O’Brian despite her criticisms.
Marietta Subong, popularly known as Pokwang, revealed her true sentiments for her former partner Lee O’Brian in an interview with Luis Manzano. Pokwang became tearful throughout the conversation, saying that she still has feelings for Lee.
She admitted that she still loves her daughter’s father, despite her many criticisms on social media. She explained their breakup as a result of cultural differences as well as a linguistic barrier.
Despite these reasons, Pokwang stated that she made every effort to maintain her relationship with Lee. She still loves him, she says, but she needs to do something for her own pleasure.
“Pasensya ka na kasi iba ‘yung culture mo, iba ‘yung culture ko. May mga pagtatalo tayo na ang hirap ipaliwanag because of language barrier. Pasensya ka na rin kung – triny ko naman ipaglaban. Triny ko naman talaga. Ginawa ko lahat ng best ko para manatili kung ano ‘yung meron tayo,” said Pokwang.
“Pero gusto ko lang malaman mo kung saan ka man nandoon ngayon, I hope you’re happy and mag-ingat ka lagi. Hindi mo naman basta basta maaalis ‘yun. Siyempre mahal pa rin kita kaya lang meron akong kailangang gawin para sa ikaliligaya ng sarili ko,” she added during the interview.
It should be noted that Pokie’s decision to initiate a deportation case against Lee was likewise the talk of the town for several days. The comedian petitioned the Philippine government to deport Lee, describing her former lover as a ‘undesirable alien.’ Pokwang filed deportation and other proceedings against Lee with the help of her lawyer.
The breakup of Pokie and Lee caused quite a stir in the entertainment sector. The comedian has been open about her feelings since splitting up with her former partner, with whom she had been dating for nearly seven years.
