Korina Sanchez was asked about politics
Seasoned journalist Korina Sanchez admitted that she is thinking about getting into politics but there are things she needs to consider.
Korina is one of the most prominent broadcasters in the Philippines. Although she is in the world of news and public affairs, she would often get asked if she is considering having her political career someday.
Based on the article in Bandera, Korina often gets asked if she plans to run for any office. However, she would say that she is happy being a politician’s wife.
Mar Roxas, the husband of Korina Sanchez, is one of the most prominent political figures in the country. In a recent interview on Reality Check, the seasoned journalist was asked if she has plans to enter the political arena.
“Naisip ko na ‘yan, yeah I thought about it but because Mar was into politics already I didn’t think it was necessary puwede namang bulungan ko na lang siya, di ba?” she said.
Now that Mar is not into politics, Korina said that starting her political has entered her mind. However, there is one thing that hinders her from just jumping into politics.
“Ngayon na wala na siya diyan naiisip ko, pero ang kumokontra sa isip ko is the time with my children,” the wife of the former DILG secretary said. She is thinking mainly about the welfare of their twins and she is making sure that she could guide them.
When asked if she means that she is not closing her doors, Korina Sanchez said, “Ay wala akong pinagsasarhan ng pinto.”
