2 Cops and 3 Accomplices Arrested for Extortion in Cavite
Police authorities arrested two (2) cops and their three alleged accomplices after being accused of extortion in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
An entrapment operation in this city by the Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) resulted in the arrest of five accused extortionists. According to reports, two of the five accused were active police officers.
According to the report, the arrested officers were PCpl Roderick C Bajado of the Dasmarias City Police Station and PSSg Randy B Batonginog of the Imus City Police Station. Nemecio Sevilla, Jacqueline Rubenecia, and Jessa Rose Dalsaitan were identified as the three civilians.
The suspects were apprehended at Orchard Residential Estates, Salitran 4, Dasmarias City, Cavite, according to the PNP-IMEG report. According to the PNP-IMEG report, an Egyptian national went to the PNP-IMEG office to file an official complaint against the accused.
The victim wants to cleanse his name of the attempted harassment charge leveled against him. According to the nameless victim’s complaint, Bajado went to their home with the claimed female victim and her family to discuss the alleged attempted r4pe, which he did not do.
He stated that the police asked him how much he could pay the victim in order for the case against him to be dropped. Otherwise, the case would be continued, and he will be imprisoned, as well as his name will be slandered on social media.
The accused requested P200,000.00 at the conclusion of their conversation. The suspects were captured soon after accepting the marked money, which was actually two pieces of P1,000 and 110 pieces of P1,000 boodle money, in the operative’s coordinated operation.
