TikTok Account of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Got Banned from the Platform
One of the largest video streaming platforms TikTok banned the account of the so-called “appointed son of god” Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
TikTok announced in an official statement that it has removed religious leader Apollo Quiboloy’s account for allegedly violating their Community Guidelines.TikTok, on the other hand, did not specify which of its community guidelines resulted in the ban.
“We have banned Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s account in accordance with our Community Guidelines,” based on the article of the Philippine Star.
Quiboloy’s TikTok page (@pastor_acq) had about 26,000 followers before it was banned, with his videos receiving over 237,000 likes. Quiboloy’s YouTube account was also shut down last month when Twitter user @OrdinaryGamers mentioned his outstanding lawsuits in the United States.
Quiboloy’s channel was found to be in breach of YouTube’s community guidelines. Other Quiboloy-related YouTube channels, particularly those operated by his media network SMNI and his Kingdom of Jesus Christ church, are still available.
Quiboloy is wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States on s3x trafficking accusations. After being charged for labor trafficking a few months earlier, Quiboloy and two other members of his congregation were placed on the FBI’s most wanted list in 2022.
A US federal grand jury also indicted the religious leader for conspiracy to participate in s3x trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, s3x trafficking of children, conspiracy, and bulk currency smuggling. His camp, though, refuted the charges.
