Eat Bulaga Creates “Word of the Rings” as Their Version of “Pinoy Henyo”

New Eat Bulaga Creates Their Own Version of “Pinoy Henyo” Titled “Word of the Rings”

The new Eat Bulaga went controversial online after they created their own version of iconic game “Pinoy Henyo” titled “Word of the Rings”.

Eat Bulaga, the rebranded noontime show, has already prepared a version of ‘Pinoy Henyo’ with a different title from the famous segment. They introduced ‘Word of the Rings,’ a gameshow akin to ‘Pinoy Henyo,’ on the June 30, 2023, episode of the controversial noontime show.

Former Eat Bulaga writers who departed the show last month are said to own the popular game. Paolo Contis has taken over as host of the section that was previously hosted by Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the genuine Dabarkads.

The legendary part was performed by a number of celebrity guests. Fans of former Eat Bulaga Dabarkads were dissatisfied, accusing Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) of plagiarizing Pinoy Henyo.

Defenders of the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga, on the other hand, reminded netizens that TAPE Inc. controlled the ‘Pinoy Henyo’ trademark until 2032. Tito Sotto maintained that Eat Bulaga’s popular segments, including ‘Pinoy Henyo,’ belonged to the writers.

TAPE, on the other hand, claimed that they pay their authors to be “creative,” and that any creations generated by their personnel while working for Eat Bulaga were held by the production company.
