Ricci Rivero Insisted He Did Not Used Andrea Brillantes
Basketball player Ricci Rivero denied that he only used his ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes and insisted his love is genuine.
Ricci has broken his silence and revealed the concerns behind his breakup with Andrea in an interview with the “King of Talk” Boy Abunda. According to the basketball player, he and Andrea reconciled in April 2023, but they break-up in the first week of May due to numerous issues.
Ricci also denied making Andrea Brillantes his trophy girlfriend just for the sake of becoming famous. That UAAP cager admitted in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” show that his feelings for the actress are genuine.
“Kung ginamit ko po siya, marami naman pong offer ‘yung ABS-CBN na sit-down interview with her. Shows with her and simula po nung naging kami never po akong nag-yes, lahat po nag-beg off ako. Kasi ayoko ko rin naman pong i-connect ‘yung trabaho sa personal relationship ko,” he said.
“Sa akin sobrang genuine lang lahat eh. Wala sa isip ko ‘yung mga ganyang bagay kasi parang minsan na lang ako mag-girlfriend ‘di ba, bakit sa ganyang paraan ko pa naman gagawin,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ricci stated that he chose to speak out because his family is reportedly affected. Ricci addressed the social media photographs and videos in which Andrea reportedly found him with a lady in his condo.
He insisted that the rumors were the cause of their breakup. He did, however, clarify that what Andrea witnessed was not his other woman. He disclosed that they discussed it several times and that he has no other woman.
“‘Yung cause ng breakup was ‘yung speculations, ‘yung kumakalat sa social media, may nakita siyang girl dun sa place ko kasi… pero ilang beses naman po naming pinag-usapan ‘to as in sobrang daming beses na sinabi ko sa kanya with all the evidences I have,” Ricci revealed to Tito Boy.
“Hindi po sa akin ‘yung girl. May papuntang friend ako ng midnight or madaling-araw tapos hindi ko naman alam na may kasama siya. Tapos iyon ‘yung inabutan niya that time,” added Ricci.
He stated that he knew Andrea trusted him because they were fine after this. Ricci further stated that their break-up had nothing to do with Los Baos Councilor Leren Bautista and that he was not flirting with her.
