How To Become A Successful Actor, According To Tirso Cruz III
TIRSO CRUZ III – Kapuso actor Tirso Cruz III recently offered advice on how to become a successful actor.
Multi-awarded actor Tirso Cruz III is one of the most well-known and respected actors in the Philippines. In his countless different projects in both film and television, each role he plays remains excellent and remarkable.
The seasoned actor is among the star-studded cast of today’s biggest suspense series in primetime, Royal Blood, where he plays a special and important role-Gustavo Royales. In an online exclusive interview for Royal Blood where he was joined by Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, Tirso shared some of the secrets of his successful career as an actor.
Tirso Cruz III said he first find different attacks for each role that is given to him. He said, “Ako kasi actually, in reality, every role for me is a distinct role. Every role is different kasi I try as much as possible na ‘pag may ibinigay na role sa akin, I try to look for a different attack to it.”
“Kahit na, sabihin mo nang kadalasan kasi ang ibinibigay sa aking role ngayon ay medyo black or gray matter ako, so syempre mahirap maghanap ng… kasi kapag hindi mo iningatan magkakapareho itsura nung gagawin mo. So ang challenge is how to differentiate each character that you play as much as possible para mailayo mo sa last character or past few characters na ginawa mo,” he added.

Tirso Cruz III also shared what he learned in the entertainment industry that he still carries with him today. “Once upon a time, there was a senior actor na nagsabi sa akin, ‘Wag mong isipin na gusto mong talunin ‘yung kapwa mong artista. Ang talunin mo, ang sarili mo.’ Kumbaga, kung ano ‘yung ginawa mo nung huli, kailangan i-better mo ‘yun,” said Tirso.
