Kim Chiu has come a long way since she started her showbiz career
Chinita Princess Kim Chiu recalled the time when she and her family was struggling financially now that she has acquired several properties.
Kim, just like many showbiz personalities, came from a humble beginning. Her stint in the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother pave the way for her in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the blessings that Kims received over the years were mentioned.
This is because of what Aileen Choi Go, Megasoft’s vice-president for sales and marketing, shared. She said that she wanted to acquire a building in Cagayan de Oro. However, when she inquired, she was told that there was already someone who is interested in buying the building.
Later on, Go found out that it was Kim Chiu who bought the building. Aside from the property in Mindanao, the It’s Showtime host just recently showcased her new vacation home.
Aside from her showbiz engagements, the actress also established her own company that is selling bags. From her start in the entertainment industry, Kim indeed has come a long way.
During the interview, she recalled her humble beginning. She shared that the first time she received her talent fee from ASAP, she bought a cellphone with a camera and paid for their bills.
From being an “NPA” (no permanent address), Kim has acquired several properties already where she could stay.
“Iba-iba kasi yung school ko. Napadpad na ako sa GenSan, Cebu, CDO, Mindoro. Umabot ako ng Zamboanga, Tacloban, Ormoc. Kung saan-saan ako napupunta. Napapagod na kami magkakapatid kasi iba-iba nagpapaaral sa main,” she said, explaining the reason behind their “no permanent address” situation.
At that time, it was really difficult for her and her sister to continue their studies. Even at a young age, Kim knew already the value of saving. She said that maybe because she already went through a time when she has nothing.
“Siguro kasi alam ko na yung feeling ng walang pera. So alam ko kung paano ko itago talaga at ipunin talaga dahil ayoko na bumalik sa panahon na walang-wala talaga kami. Parang alam ko yung feeling ng wala, alam ko rin feeling ng meron. Kaya I worked really hard for myself and for my family,” she shared.
Kim Chiu stressed that she does not want to go back to that kind of situation and she’s sure that others would have the same thoughts as well.
