This is what happened when KC Concepcion first met his father after many years of not seeing him.
KC CONCEPCION – In a new vlog, KC Concepcion narrates the story of her first meeting with her father Gabby Concepcion.
In a previous article, KC Concepcion shared the story of the phone call she made that reconnected her with her father Gabby Concepcion. They have been apart for more than a decade and she was the first one to call him.
As for Gabby, he just knew that he and his daughter will be reunited. He just doesn’t know when or how but he was confident that it is going to happen.
“Pagsagot ko nung telepono, may nagsabing ‘Hi, can I speak to Gabby Concepcion, please?’ I said ‘Hi, is this my baby?’ I knew it was you on the phone. I knew it,” he said.
And in a new video, KC shared the stories and events with her father. The first reconnection was through a necklace. She had a big debut which was even televised but one of the highlights that she shared only recently was a present she received from a stranger.
It was Tiffany & Co. necklace with a heart pendant from his father which she cherished all the time. Many years have passed and the necklace is still with her.
She may not vividly remember the sequence of events but she can recall that the necklace came with a box that also carried her father’s contact number at that time. He was in the United States.
KC saved that number and it was the number she could not lose.
She saved it but it took her another three years to really contact him. After their phone conversation, she decided to go to the US. She packed her bags and she was nervous most of the time. She did not know what to do.
And the first one she saw at the airport when she arrived in the US was her father who was gesturing a big hug towards her. He ran to her with open arms and of all the words she could say but wasn’t able to, she blurted out, “Why do you look like me?”
