Ryan Agoncillo was emotional when he was asked about TAPE’s plan
TV host Ryan Agoncillo revealed what he did after knowing that TAPE Inc., was planning to remove him from Eat Bulaga.
When Jon and Bullet Jalosjos took over the management of the production company behind the longest-running noontime show, changes were introduced. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon opposed the plans that the Jalosjos brothers want to implement in the show, including the removal of some of the hosts.
Dabarkads joined TVJ when they decided to leave TAPE Inc. and transferred to TV5. In a recent media conference after the contract signing between the “Legit Dabarkads” and the management of the Kapatid network, Ryan was asked about this issue.
Previously, Joey shared that TAPE intended to just retain Allan K, Jose Manalo, and Wally Bayola, and the rest, the production company wanted to remove and one of them was Ryan Agoncillo.
Based on the article in PEP, the seasoned host shared that when he learned about this, he immediately talked to his wife soap opera queen Judy Ann Santos.
“It has been 14 years, nasa Eat Bulaga! pa rin ako. Kaya noong sinabi na tagpas kaming lahat, ang sabi ko na lang sa asawa ko pag-uwi ko, ‘I think I just got fired,’” Ryan shared.
Other hosts who were on the list of hosts to be removed also felt the same. Ryan also shared that even back in February, when this issue was brought up, no one has spoken from their camp because this is how they handle issues, it should be internal and should not be taken out to the public.
Just like other hosts, Ryan Agoncillo said that his resignation from TAPE Inc. is his own decision.
