Royal Blood is set to premiere on June 19
The cast members of the Kapuso primetime series Royal Blood revealed that they do not know yet who is the murderer in the series.
The said series features a star-studded cast lead by Primetime King Dingdong Dantes who plays the character of single father Napoy Royales. He works as a motorcycle rider and happens to be the illegitimate child of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III’s character, business tycoon Gustavo Royales.
Tirso’s character was murdered and even the cast members do not know who did it. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, this is something that excites the cast of the Kapuso noontime show.
It was revealed that cast members were only given a copy of the script weekly. With this, no spoiler alert will be made.
For Mikael Daez, this is something amazing. “The genre is very different. At least for me, this is the first time I’m part of a show that’s a murder-mystery. Even the way that it’s written or the way we try to figure out our characters and how they relate to other characters, it’s a bit different,” he shared.
His real-life wife Megan Young plays the character of Diana, his character’s wife who is also the ex-girlfriend of Napoy. Mikael added that they do not know the end goal yet and even the identity of the killer. He said that since they do not if their character is the murderer of not, it is an adventure for them as well.
Even Tirso has the same question, who murdered his character. The veteran actor said, “Actually, that’s what keeps me on my toes, and gives me the drive and interest to continue appearing on screen. Every project, for me, is a new challenge, especially this one.“
The identity of the killer was also kept from him when he was told that his character will die. Every time he will do a scene with the suspects, he is thinking if this is the murderer or not.
“But that’s the beauty of it that, sometimes, when I go home, I still wonder, who is it really and why are you not letting us know?” Tirso added.
