Vin Abrenica has a new movie with Aljur Abrenica
Actor Vin Abrenica reacted to comments that he is a better actor than his older brother Aljur Abrenica.
Aljur entered the entertainment industry through the Kapuso talent search StarStruck. Eventually, Vin followed his older brother’s venture into showbiz. For many years, they have done separate projects but this year, they worked together on the action-thriller movie The Revelation.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Vin said that working with someone he is comfortable with was indeed an advantage.
“It felt good in the sense that, as an actor, you are expected to express specific emotions for specific scenes. When I was with him, the emotions were more pronounced,” Vin Abrenica said.
Going through a lot of experiences together as siblings brought out certain emotions easily and this is an advantage in how they portrayed their characters.
In the same interview, Vin also addressed the comments comparing him to his older brother. There were people who said that he is a better actor than Aljur.
“I’m flattered that people would say that. However, he is still my brother and I love him. To be honest, I’m thankful for the comments, but I also feel hurt,” the younger Abrenica said.
Vin also said that he looked up to his older brother as a good actor. He also said that Aljur is his inspiration. “I grew up watching him. I’ve actually seen all of his movies and TV shows. I’m one of his fans,” he added.
Meanwhile, it is also known to many showbiz fans that Vin Abrenica is often being asked about the controversial love life of Aljur Abrenica. The younger actor said that they do not talk about these issues when they are hanging out together.
