Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna had to take a break from doing the noontime show that they had been doing for many years now
Veteran comedian-host Bossing Vic Sotto has had this mood every noontime these past few days, his wife actress-host Pauleen Luna said.
Vic has been hosting the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga for 44 years now. He, together with Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon, provided laughter and entertainment, as well as “papremyo” to many television viewers and studio audiences for four decades.
However, this has to stop momentarily because the TVJ decided to depart from TAPE Inc, the production behind Eat Bulaga.
The legendary trio is set to do their new show on TV5 but there is no final announcement when this will start. For now, TVJ and the rest of the original Dabarkads are taking a break.
In a recent article by Abante entertainment columnist Jun Lalin, he shared that he and veteran showbiz writer Lolit Solis talked about the situation now of Eat Bulaga. Manay Lolit shared that she was able to have a conversation with Pauleen Luna.
The veteran showbiz writer said that Pauleen revealed that her husband would always get sad every noontime these past days.
“Ang kuwento ni Pauleen, kapag tanghaling tapat, palagi raw malungkot si Vic. Siyempre, tahimik kasi, hindi siya sanay na tahimik kapag ganoong oras. Sanay siyempre si Vic na nasa studio at nagsu-show,” Lolit shared to Jun Lalin.
The veteran showbiz writer added that surely Bossing Vic’s energy will be revived once their new show on TV5 will start. Lolit also said that she is sure that Tito and Joey are also sad about what happened to their show.
