Are Chie Filomeno and Jake Cuenca officially together?
Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno has this answer when asked about the status of her relationship with versatile actor Jake Cuenca.
Rumors linking Chie and Jake started to circulate when the actor began leaving comments on the actress’s photos on Instagram. Netizens were quick to notice that there is something going on between them and it is not just friendship.
In previous interviews, Jake said that he really admires Chie. Just recently, the actress revealed that she is admiring Jake back.
However, based on the article in Inquirer, Chie Filomeno stressed that she and Jake Cuenca are not yet officially together as a couple. “Wala pang label,” the actress said, adding that she and Jake are taking their time.
For now, they are “talking” because the actor knows her priority. “Nag-uusap kami po, and siguro, taking time din kasi alam din naman niya kung ano ‘yung priority ko in life. And he’s really understanding,” she said.
Chie also said that it is flattering to hear that Jake admires her because men seldom say what they really feel. The actor being vocal about what he feels is something that makes Chie happy.
Although there is no label yet in what she and Jake have now, Chie said that she is not in favor of entering into a relationship with no label. She stressed that label is important to avoid misunderstandings so that both parties will know that they are on the same page. “‘Yun ‘yung relationship for me,” she added.
Jake Cuenca was previously in a relationship with Kylie Verzosa. They have been together for three years and the actor was quite emotional when their relationship ended. For a time, both Kylie and Jake just wanted to take their time to move on.
