Jose Manalo Shares He Received No Salary from Eat Bulaga while Facing Difficulties in Life
Comedian and former host Jose Manalo revealed that he is not receiving salary from the noontime show Eat Bulaga despite difficulties he is facing.
In the most recent episode of “Cristyferminute” of showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin, she disclosed the comic Jose Manalo’s hardship while working on Eat Bulaga. Despite being regarded as one of the best comedians of his generation, Jose encountered challenges last year when two members of his family died.
Jose’s mother, Anita Manalo, died in 2021, and the same year, his brother Arnel died, and the following year, his wife Anna Lyn died. According to an experienced journalist, Jose was already not collecting his salary from Eat Bulaga on schedule at the time.
The entertainment columnist couldn’t stop grilling the comedian about his difficulties. Jose then revealed that he solely spent that time with his family and prayed to forget his worries.
Naka-lock in [taping] naman kami,” he added.
Despite his issues with TAPE, Jose refused to discuss them.
