Betong Sumaya Reacts to Bashers Criticizing New Hosts of Eat Bulaga
BETONG SUMAYA – One of the new hosts of longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga appeals to bashers to understand them.
The comedian and TV host took to TikTok and released a video in which he reacts to critics of the new Eat Bulaga. Betong Sumaya, one of the new ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts, begged with the internet to stop insulting them.
In Betong’s TikTok live, he stated that they were aware that when they accepted the job at Television and Production Exponents Inc (TAPE Inc), they would be subjected to a barrage of abuse. The comedian also expressed gratitude to those who understand and those who do not.
” Alam po namin na ito po talaga ‘yung kahaharapan namin guys,” said Betong.
“Salamat po sa mga nakakaintindi, at sa mga hindi po makakaintindi, hindi ko po kayo masisisi,” he said in his video.
They also understand that no one can truly replace Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon on the longest-running noontime show. But he said, “I hope the shaming of them stops, especially since they have to work.”
“Wala po talagang makakapalit po, ni katiting, wala po talagang makakapalit po sa kanila, walang wala! At alam po namin ‘yun,” said the comedian.
“Kailangan niyo rin po sanang maintindihan na kailangan din po namin magtrabaho, at gaya niyo rin po guys, kapag hindi tayo nagtrabaho, paano po tayo makakakilos sa pang-araw-araw? Kayo po kaya lumagay sa posisyon namin guys? Huwag pong ganun,” according to Betong.

Other new ‘EB’ hosts include Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, and the Legaspi twins, Mavy and Cassy. Paolo has received numerous critiques from Eat Bulaga fans and other netizens.
