Allan K Posts Heartwarming Message after Eat Bulaga Departure from TAPE Inc
Kapuso comedian and Eat Bulaga host Allan K shared a heartwarming post following the departure of the longest noontime show from TAPE Inc.
Following a series of discussions and agreements, “Eat Bulaga” principal hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon revealed that the show will depart TV production company Television and Production Exponent (Tape) Inc. They weren’t supposed to have a live show today, but they did anyway.
De Leon emphasized that they are only taking the day off and are not signing off. GMA issued an official statement as well. The network expressed disappointment with the results because the block time contract is still valid until the end of 2024. Many people, including celebrities, were taken aback by the statement.
Allan K turned to social media during a period of unexpected adjustments to deliver a loving message to his fans. The television host shared a photo of himself holding a bag with the words “Let me hug you.”
Allan’s post is significant not just for his fellow ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts, but also for the show’s viewers. Many fans have been emotionally attached to the show and its adored hosts.
It’s no surprise that Allan’s post made many netizens cry. Eat Bulaga is the Philippines’ longest-running noontime show. It first aired on July 30, 1979. Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto are among its early hosts and become the foundation of EB Dabarkads.
