Pepsi Paloma Death Anniversary On The Day Eat Bulaga Announces Departure

Trending online is Pepsi Paloma 38 years after her passing.

PEPSI PALOMA – Today marks the 38th anniversary of Pepsi Paloma, the same day “Eat Bulaga” announces its departure from TAPE.

We surely have an idea about the history of the late actress Pepsi Paloma and Eat Bulaga! hosts Vic SottoJoey de Leon, and Richie D’Horsie. The past issues involving these personalities were a bit grim.

In a previous article, the story of Paloma created a loud buzz online after Tito Sotto requested to take down Inquirer’s articles about it. According to him, the articles were “disinformation” and “original fake news”.

“I have decided to brush them aside and not pay attention to this type of disinformation, ‘yan mga ‘original fake news’,” he said.

38 years after her death, she remained a trending topic online. And the funny thing is, it fell on the same day Eat Bulaga announced its departure from Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE), a production company that is now being managed by new owners.

Many people online expressed amazement at this coincidence.

To recall, Paloma’s end was self-harm. She hanged herself and passed away at the age of 18. Stories about her before being violated by De Leon, Sotto, and Richie became a sensation.

What also created noise before was the public apology of the hosts: “We hope that you will not allow the error we have committed against you to stand as a stumbling block to that future which we all look forward to. We, therefore, ask you to find it in your heart to pardon us for the wrong which we have done against you.”

Some people online called the recent happening a “poetic justice” but some expressed their weird feeling about this coincidence.
