Vic Sotto has this reminder for young stars
Veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto has the credibility to share pieces of advice with the younger generation of stars in the entertainment industry.
Vic has been in the industry for more than four decades now. His journey in showbiz showed that longevity can be achieved but definitely, there are so many ups and downs in between.
Today, Vic is considered one of the icons of the entertainment industry. This is the reason why there are so many younger celebrities who are looking up to him.
In a recent interview for his new sitcom Open 24/7 with Maja Salvador and Jose Manalo, based on the article in Bandera, Vic Sotto said that he believes the saying, “Practice what you preach” when it comes to teaching the younger generation.
“Alam mo para sa akin, pinaka-the best talaga is lead by example. ‘Yung kung ano ‘yung makikita nila sa ‘yo, ‘yun ang magbubukas ng mga isipin nila, e,’” Bossing said. He believes that this will teach young stars well.
The veteran comedian-host shared that when it comes to being in the entertainment industry, giving value to the job is very important.
“Pagdating sa trabaho, pagdating sa showbiz like for example being professional, darating ka sa set ready ka. Kapag oras ng trabaho, trabaho. Pag laro, laro,” he stressed.
Vic added that he, along with Jose and Maja, had to set a good example to the young stars in the cast of their new sitcom. Bossing also stressed the effect of enjoying the work in showbiz.
For him, enjoying what you do surpasses whatever advice or tips. He said that it is important to be professional but young stars have to know how to enjoy their jobs as well. “’Yung happy ka, hindi mo mararamdaman na trabaho ‘yun, dahil nag-e-enjoy ka, e,” Vic Sotto said.
