Tito Sotto said something about the Eat Bulaga issue
Veteran showbiz personality Tito Sotto revealed that his interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast almost didn’t air.
Three weeks ago, GMA released the said interview on the podcast hosted by Nelson. This came after King of Talk Boy Abunda’s interview with TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos.
Tito also did interviews with different media outlets. He contradicted what the Jalosjos camp about the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Later on, Bossing Vic Sotto, the younger brother of Tito Sotto, also spoke a bit about the issue. Vic attested that the show was suffering from financial problems contradicting Bullet’s previous statement.
It is because Bossing and Joey’s talent fees were not paid and this reached millions of pesos already.
The Philippine Star columnist Pat-P Daza shared in her May 22, 2023 article that she was invited to celebrate Tito’s wife Helen Gamboa’s birthday. The birthday celebration was graced by the closest friends of the veteran showbiz couple.
Vic and Joey were also there, as well as Tito’s brothers Val and Maru. The eldest Sotto gamely answered questions about the Eat Bulaga issue. “Inevitably, the Eat Bulaga issue was brought up when Tito Sen sat at our table and gave us the latest on the ongoing rift between the Jalosjos camp, and Tito, Vic & Joey,” the columnist shared.
Daza also shared that if an immediate resolution will not happen, most likely a big change will happen. Then, the columnist said that Tito Sotto told them to await his daughter Lala Sotto, the current Movie and Television Review and Classification Board chairperson, as she knows more information about his controversial interview on Nelson Canlas’s podcast.
“He also told us to await the return of Lala Sotto, who had more information about that controversial interview of Tito Sen by Nelson Canlas that almost didn’t air on GMA,” Daza shared.
