Single Mom Takes Care of Her Triplets Alone After Husband Died
A single mom from Quezon City has shared her struggle of taking her care of triplets saying “Ako na lang tala mag-isa”
Mariz Sharmaine Matibag, a 29-year-old single mother from Quezon City, has undoubtedly earned the title of a super mom. On January 11, 2023, she gave birth to triplets at the Ortigas Hospital and Healthcare Center, showcasing her strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
Mommy Mariz revealed that her second pregnancy was marked by both physical and mental challenges.
“Two weeks right after namatay ng dad ko, dun ko nalaman na pregnant ako. At first, nagulat ako na naiyak ako kasi sabi ko hindi pa ako prepared. After nagpa-ultrasound ako, nalaman ko na triplets. Naisip ko rin na times three ‘yung gastos,” Mommy Mariz shared.
She faced even greater trials when her husband passed away just two weeks after the triplets were born. Suddenly, she found herself alone, uncertain about how she would manage to provide for her children’s needs.
“Nung lumabas ‘yung triplets ko, two weeks after, nawala rin ‘yung husband ko. Ako na lang talaga mag-isa. Hindi ko alam kung saan pupulutin lahat [ng] mga kailangang gastusin para sa mga anak ko,” she admitted.
Despite the overwhelming circumstances, Mommy Mariz did not allow herself to be defeated. She embraced her role as a single mother with unwavering determination. Balancing the demands of raising three infants alone, she took on the challenge head-on.
