Matteo Guidicelli has a new tag
Kapuso star Matteo Guidicelli is now being tagged as the “morning greeter” as he never failed to greet his wife Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and his grandmother in Cebu in his first week on Unang Hirit.
Following his contract signing with GMA, Matteo was immediately given a spot in the longest-running morning show. His official network transfer happened almost a year after of negotiation.
Matteo expressed happiness that it finally happened and his wife is also happy for him as their prayers were finally answered.
The actor-host is also thankful to his UH family for the warm welcome that he received. A week after he started his stint in the morning show, Matteo Guidicelli received a new tag.
He is now being called the “morning greeter.” On Friday’s episode, a video compilation was shown on UH. It showed that from his first episode until the most recent, Matteo greeted his wife Sarah and his lola in Cebu.
There were episodes in which he did the greetings several times. Twitter fan account @AshMatt_intl shared a clip about this.
Seasoned journalist Susan Enriquez said that “MG” does not only stands for “Matteo Guidicelli” but also for morning greeter. For a week’s duration, he did the greeting 20 times.
After the video compilation was shown, Matteo was laughing but he continued his greetings and this made his co-host laugh. Lyn Ching joked that instead of a swear jar, she will bring a greeting jar and Matteo should put money inside it every time he will greet anyone.
However, that did not stop the actor-host as he remembered that he had to greet someone. Then, Shaira Diaz said that because of this, Matteo Guidicelli is now the official morning greeting of UH barkada.
