Police authorities arrested a senior citizen for allegedly posing as a lawyer and an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Dasmariñas City.
A 65-year-old elderly citizen was arrested after allegedly identifying himself as a lawyer and an NBI agent. According to the report, the suspect was apprehended while gathering in a subdivision in Dasmarinas City, Cavite.
Gineral Ford Sam Hermogenes Jr y Flores, a senior citizen of Blk 32 Lot 22 Acacia St., Brgy Bulihan, Silang Cavite, was identified as the suspect. The phony agent has been charged with the Usurpation of Authority.
Prior to this, at 10:30 a.m., the police received a call from the Brgy Chairman of Brgy Salitran 3 about a group of persons gathered at Molino Homes 2 Subd., Brgy Salitran 3, Dasmarinas City. The homeowners were purportedly concerned by the gathering.
The police responded immediately, and a guy approached them, introducing himself as a lawyer and NBI agent, and showing an NBI Identification Card signed by HA Danielito Lalusis, Chief IPRD; however, there is no documentation to demonstrate that the suspect is a licensed lawyer.
As a result, the police were suspicious and notified the NBI, who determined that the alleged ID was a forgery. According to the article, investigators realized he was not a lawyer, which led to his detention.
