Matteo Guidicelli is officially a Kapuso now
Actor-host Matteo Guidicelli quipped about someone he will bring to GMA-7 after he officially signed a contract with the Kapuso network.
For many months, speculations surfaced about Matteo’s network transfer. Rumors surfaced that the negotiation did not push through because allegedly, the actor-host was demanding a lot.
Speculation and rumors ended when it was reported that Matteo will officially become a Kapuso. Then, he was formally introduced by GMA on May 11, 2023.
Based on the article in PEP, during the event to officially welcome Matteo Guidicelli, he was asked who he wants to ride with him on his motorcycle, and their destination will be GMA-7.
The actor-host said, “Next year! Next year!” With this, people thought that he was referring to his wife Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo. However, he immediately corrected their speculations as he said, “Mama ko! Mama ko!”
Matteo mentioned that his wife is currently busy preparing for her 20th-anniversary concert. Then, he teased that he did an episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho because his wife is included in a clip.
“And you know what? I actually taped Madam Jessica Soho [Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho] yesterday and i-preempt ko talaga, because this weekend lalabas, a VTR of Sarah came out,” Matteo said.
He recalled the past interview that Jessica did with Sarah. Back then, Sarah was so young. “She did an interview with Madam years back na talagang it’s so nice to see her as a child. Tapos she started, andito pala sa GMA, di ba? Nagsimula din, yung interviews niya dati,” the husband of Sarah enthused.
Years ago, Matteo and Sarah became part of the Kapuso defunct Sunday musical variety show SOP. The Popstar Royalty was a special guest back in 2003 while the actor-host became a mainstay host of the said show in 2009.
