Dismissed Cop Extortion

Carpena was apprehended at Muntinlupa by members of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG). He was fired because of gross misbehavior by our PNP, yet he has numerous instances, according to PNP-IMEG deputy chief for administration Police Colonel Leon Victor Rosete.

“Na-dismiss po siya sa kaso ng grave misconduct ng ating PNP. Pero nagkaroon siya ng maraming samu’t saring kaso ng robbery extortion nung siya nasa serbisyo,” said Rosete.

In 2020, he was also implicated in the dubious raid on the POGO facility in Alabang, Muntinlupa, based on the report. They illegally detained sixteen persons there. Rosete claimed that they seized things worth around P900,000 from there.

Carpena’s squad stole 17 Chinese and four Filipino POGO employees of cash, two diamond rings, phones, and gadgets totaling half a million pesos, according to their lawsuit. According to Rosete, he is also on the national watchlist for illegal narcotics. Carpena did not respond.
