Eastern Samar’s Bet Wins Miss Universe PH 2023 National Costume Competition
MISS UNIVERSE PH 2023 – MUPH 2023 candidate Airissh Ramos of Eastern Samar won the top spot in the national pageant’s national costume competition
There are forty contenders competing for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. The grand coronation night will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, May 13.
In March, the organization posted on social media that “the most beautiful day in the Philippines is on its way!” Three mothers are on the list this year for the first time in the history of the pageant, along with previous winners and social media celebrities. However, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz doesn’t agree with the pageant’s new rules allowing moms to join.
The new MUPH winner will be crowned by Celeste Cortesi and will represent the Philippines in the prestigious competition in January. The owner of the Miss Universe, Anne Jakrajutatip, will attend the event.
Five (5) competitors have advanced for MUPH 2023’s swimsuit competition. Jannarie Zarzoso of Agusan del Norte, Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol, Princess Anne Marcos of Bulacan, Shayne Maquiran of Capiz, and Angelique Manto of Pampanga were the beauties who earned the most votes on the Miss Universe Philippines app.

Based on a report from Inquirer, the candidate for MUPH 2023 Airissh Ramos of Eastern Samar won the national costume competition, with Joemay Leo of Benguet and Kimberly Escartin of Southern Leyte taking second and third place, respectively.
Ramos, Leo, and Escartin along with 35 other candidates dazzled in their national costumes, which “honored Philippine agriculture in a creative and beautiful way” during the event on Thursday, May 4.
In a previous article, Kapamilya actor-host Marco Gumabao elicited various reactions on social media after he was seen “naglalapot” or intense perspiration during the MUPH national costume show.
