SSS Cash Loan Amount You May Borrow Based on your Contribution – A Guide

Guide on SSS Cash Loan Amount Based on Member Contributions

SSS CASH LOAN AMOUNT – Here is a guide on how much you may borrow based on your total posted contributions to SSS.

In the Philippines, one of the government institutions with a lot of members is the Social Security System. More commonly called SSS, it is a state-run social insurance institution where most Filipinos working in the private sector are a member of.

Aside from Filipinos employed in the private sector, there are also a lot of self-employed individuals and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are members of the SSS. Every month, they post their monthly contribution based on their earnings.

SSS members may turn to the benefits and loan offers of the social insurance institution. Most members look forward to the Retirement Benefit but while you are still far from it, there are also loans that you may turn to in times of financial needs. How much is the SSS cash loan amount that you may borrow?

The SSS cash loan amount that you may borrow depends on the total monthly contributions that you have posted. You have posted at least 36 monthly contributions to qualify for the loan offer. If you have between 36 to 71 total monthly contributions, you may borrow up to an equivalent of your one-month basic monthly salary.

If you have posted more than 72 monthly contributions, your maximum loanable amount is “equivalent to twice the average of the member-borrower’s latest posted 12 MSCs, rounded to the next higher monthly salary credit, or amount applied for, whichever is lower”.
