The TCL 40 XL was officially announced on February 26, 2023. The smartphone is fueled with a non-removable Li-Ion 5000 mAh battery + 18W wired charging. It was launched in a single color, Gray.

Body & Display:

The phone comes with a screen size of 6.75 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. It is built with a glass front, a plastic frame, and a plastic back.

Platform:

40 XL is powered by Mediatek MT6765 Helio G37 (12 nm) Octa-core processor coupled with PowerVR GE8320 graphics processing unit (GPU). It runs on the Android 13 + TCL UI operating system. It is integrated with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Main Camera:

The rear camera of the TCL 40 XL consists of a 50-megapixel (wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth). It features an LED flash, HDR, and panorama.

Selfie Camera:

For clicking selfies and self-shooting videos, there is a single camera on the front that features an 8-megapixel (wide) camera.

Sensors on the smartphone include fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, and proximity. It also features WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0.
