Alex Gonzaga said that her Twitter blue check just came back on its own
Actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga refuted the comments from netizens saying that she paid for her blue check on Twitter.
Alex now has 6.4 million followers on the micro-blogging social media platform. She is one of the celebrities in the Philippines who is active on Twitter. When Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that the blue check will need a subscription and users need to pay certain amounts, Alex’s account was one of those who lost the blue check.
However, eventually, the blue checks are back. On April 22, Alex tweeted about her blue check was no longer there.
“Kahit mawala man ang blue check ang importante alam mo na meron parin mga red flags na dapat mong iwasan. Ay San galeng?” she quipped.
Then, on April 25, Alex Gonzaga shared a screenshot of her Twitter page showing that her blue check is back.
“Ayyy! Wala talaga akong blue check noon kaya nagulat ako bigla akong nagkaroon. Thanks ah bro @elonmusk. rockz,” she wrote.
However, there are netizens who questioned Alex’s statement about her Twitter blue check. They said that the actress-vlogger paid for it. Here are some tweets claiming that Alex paid for her blue check, based on a popular showbiz site.
Alex Gonzaga refuted these comments. She said that she did not pay. “Somebody asked whoâs going to tell me that I paid for a blue [check emoji]. Woops sorry to disappoint you but I never did and do not. Research muna tayo paki sabi hehe,” she tweeted.
On the other hand, there were those who said that those with 1 million followers got their blue checks back.
