Yasmien Kurdi does not mind being called “weird”
Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi shared that she has learned to embrace her weirdness and she is proud of this.
Yasmien found success in her acting career. From being one of the showbiz aspirants in StarStruck’s first season, the Kapuso talent search, she made it big as an actress as her fans continue to support her.
However, during her younger years, people think that she is weird. This is what she shared in one of her recent Instagram posts.

“Bata pa lang ako naalala ko tinatawag na nila akong “Weird”… ng mga classmates ko and friends from highschool at college,” Yasmien Kurdi revealed. That did not stop there because she also received the same comment when she entered the entertainment industry.
“Minsan tinatawag nila akong “krung krung”, “scaredy”, “weirdo” at kung ano ano pa… Lagi nila ako pinagtatawanan (ng mga katrabaho ko) pero di ko alam kung bakit,” the actress shared.
Initially, she was thinking that those people said that she is weird because they do not like or love her. Yasmien said that she would see in people’s eyes and she would know that they are talking about her “weirdness.”
However, this does not bother her anymore. “Pero eventually I embraced my weirdness, siguro dahil doon kaya ako artista haha!” she said. Then, she gave a piece of advice to kids who are in the same situation.
“Kaya kids, wag kayo ma bother kung may tumatawag sa inyong “weird” because we are all unique in our own way. Wag mo iyakan yan,” Yasmien Kurdi said. She also stressed that a person does not need to meet the standard of society and just make sure you are not doing bad things and stepping on other people’s rights.
“Be proud of your uniqueness at weirdness,” the Kapuso actress stressed.
