Jodi Sta Maria talked about the dynamics that she had now with her son Thirdy
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria shared the difference between doing commercials with her son Thirdy when he was young and now that he is already a teenager.
Jodi has a new commercial with her son. Back when Thirdy was a young boy, he did commercials with his mom as an adorable kid. Now, that he is a teenager, people somehow were surprised that he is all grown up.
In a recent interview for their new endorsement, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Jodi said that she’s happy that people would see a grown-up Thirdy for his comeback commercial.
The actress said that his son is okay with commercials but she does not think that he will pursue a career in showbiz. “I think he wants to carve a path that’s not really in showbiz. But endorsements like this, he’s open to it,” Jodi Sta Maria said.
She also shared that working with Thirday when he was young is different from the dynamics they have now in front of the camera.
Jodi said that back then, Thirdy was so “bibo” and he would even ask the director to have a take 2 because he was really indulgent. However, the current Thirdy in front of the camera is more of a nervous teenager.
“But when we were shooting this commercial, alam mong andun sa kanya yung, ‘Mommy, I’m nervous.’ But he’s excited also at the same time. And with Thirdy kasi, he’s an introvert. When he was younger, bibo, but when he became older, maybe because nahihiya na siya. But during the shoot, nakakatuwa lang. Kahit nahihiya pa siya sa lagay na yun,” she said.
Jodi also shared that Thirdy is an introvert person and so he worked hard to be in front of the camera to do this new commercial. Being a parent to a teenager is also different from what it was when Thirdy was just a young boy.
The actress said that it is a challenge for her because there are already external influences. However, Jodi Sta Maria is also letting her son spread his wings.
