Martin del Rosario Offers Perspective On Why People Cheat
MARTIN DEL ROSARIO – Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario expressed his viewpoint on the causes of cheating.
Martin del Rosario is a Filipino actor and model best known for playing Norberto Matias in the drama series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin’ in 2011, Severino Monzon in the 2012 television adaptation of ‘Pintada,’ and Nico in the 2016 movie ‘Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B.’
The actor won his first acting award in 2011 for his performance as Jun in the movie ‘Dagim,’ which earned him the Breakthrough Performance by An Actor award from the Entertainment Press Society. He was also named the New Movie Actor of the Year by the Philippine Movie Press Club the same year. He won the Gawad Urian Awards in 2015 for his performance as Gab in the 2014 Cinemalaya movie ‘Dagitab,’ winning Best Supporting Actor. He is now one of the stars of the film, ‘The Cheating Game.’
Just recently, Martin del Rosario offers his own opinion on why people cheat, concluding that the main reason is unhappiness. He shared this during his interview on the GMA Regional TV morning show, Mornings with GMA Regional TV.
“Siguro ‘pag ‘di ka na masaya, or pagod ka na, parang feeling mo, ewan ko. Usually ganun e, ‘pag di na masaya ‘yung tao, nagchi-cheat,” he said.
The 30-year-old celebrity maintains that it is wrong to cheat, and the best approach to handle it is to talk to each other, even if one or both partners in the relationship aren’t happy any longer.
“Kung ‘di na masaya, pag-usapan niyo. ‘Malungkot ako, or nasasaktan ako, ‘di na’ko masaya kasi ganito, ganito, ganito,’” Martin said.
“Kung mature talaga kayo, pag-uusapan niyo kung ano ‘yung problema at aayusin niyo kahit gaano kahirap ‘yun,” he added.
“Kahit ‘yung mga points niyo, kunyari black and white, nasa opposite talaga, pero kung mahal niyo ang isa’t isa, magmi-meet kayo half-way,” he continued.

Martin del Rosasrio responded, “Depende sa tao yan,” when asked if he would be able to forgive someone who had cheated on him. “Kasi may kilala ako, nakakapagpatawad, bibigyan ka ng second chance, basta makikita mo ‘yung tao, willing magbago,” he said.
“Pero meron iba na ‘Tapos na,’ nangyari na ‘yun, hindi na siya kausap-usap pa. Pero kung siguro ako, depende du’n sa tao e, depende sa kapartner ko e, kung tingin ko kaya pang isalba ‘to o hindi na,” he continued.
On the other hand, Martin claimed he wasn’t yet in a position to say whether or not he would offer someone a second chance. He said, “magbigay ng second chance, hindi ako makakapagsagot ng tapos e.”
“Mahirap e, kasi depende sa sitwasyon, depende sa tao, depende sa relationship niyo kung gaano katagal. Iwe-weigh mo kasi ‘yung mga ganu’ng bagay, e,” he added.
