Dolly de Leon Reveals Eugene Domingo Financed Her Son’s Tuition for 3 Years
EUGENE DOMINGO – Actress Dolly de Leon disclosed Eugene Domingo paid her son’s tuition for 3 years.
Through the film Triangle of Sadness, Dolly de Leon attracted the attention of an international audience. She was given the chance to attend renowned movie award shows due to her stint.
The 54-year-old actress is the first Pinoy actor to win the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards. She was also honored with Sweden’s Goldbaggage Award, which is equivalent to the Oscars Awards.
Just recently, Dolly de Leon spoke of going through “really hard times” financially and mentioned Eugene Domingo, a friend, and fellow actor, as one of the people who supported her at the time.
During an appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, April 26, Dolly talked about her friendship with Eugene and how she has always been there for her in good and bad times.
“Si Uge (Eugene) magkakilala na kami n’yan bata pa lang kami, teenagers pa kami. Magkasama kami sa UP theater arts so barkada na kami n’yan,” Dolly spoke of Eugine.
“At the time when I was going through really hard times—kasi may time talaga na walang-wala na talaga akong pambayad ng kuryente, napatigil ‘yung anak ko sa pag-aaral dahil wala akong pambayad ng tuition—a lot of friends came to support me and Uge is one of them,” she added.

Dolly de Leon revealed that Eugene Domingo helped pay for one of the former’s four children’s education for three years, highlighting how Eugine has remained a friend to her despite the fame.
“[Eugine] paid for my son’s tuition for three years. She never left,” Dolly stated. “Even if she reached that superstardom level already, she was always a friend. She was always Uge, as we know her.”
“Totoong kaibigan ang tingin ko talaga sa kanya and ang laking tulong niya sa akin nitong buong thing na nangyayari sa akin kasi, kumbaga, dinaanan na niya ito, so alam na niya kung paano ang gagawin,” she added.
