Tito Sotto shared his thoughts on the issue happening in Eat Bulaga
Veteran showbiz personality Tito Sotto revealed that the Jalosjos family wanted to change the hosts of Eat Bulaga.
Amid the Eat Bulaga issue, several stories surfaced online. Fans of the longest-running noontime show have different reactions regarding the supposed rebranding that will happen.
In an interview on Fast Talk, Bullet Jalosjos, the chief financial officer of TAPE Inc, the producer of the noontime show, said that there will be some improvements only and that it is not a total change.
The production company’s executive also said that the hosts will remain including TVJ, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon while some hosts will be added. However, this claim from Bullet Jalosjos was debunked by the former Senate President.
In an interview with PEP, Tito said that the Jalosjos family wanted to change the director and the writer of the show. He said that TAPE just wanted to retain Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Allan K among the hosts.
This means that Maine Mendoza, Paolo Ballesteros, Maja Salvador, Ryan Agoncillo, and others will be taken out. “But they don’t touch the three of you?” PEP asked. Tito answered, “Di nila binabanggit yun noon una.”
However, Tito said that as the rumors said, Jalosjos wanted the TVJ to retire as well. “Gusto kaming gawing three times a week lang daw,” he said, adding that this came from the reasoning that the show is not earning which he belied.
Tito Sotto also stressed that they have tried their best not to speak about the issues publicly because they wanted to solve these internally. However, they were just surprised that Bullet Jalosjos did an interview with Boy Abunda.
